The attorneys and member firms who make up the New York State Creditors Bar Association take seriously the strict regulatory environment of creditor and commercial debt resolution; we run professional practices and are responsive to our clients’ customer-focused environment and governmental laws and regulations.

Our mission:

To issue policy statements on issues of significance to creditor’s rights practitioners, the debt collection industry, New York civil procedure law and rules and compliance with federal, state and local law and regulation.

To cooperate with, aid and support organizations and causes which advance fair and just application of the law to both creditors and debtors.

To encourage the education of lawyers and our clients.

To promote improvement in the administration of justice.

To conduct activities that are devoted to improving business conditions as they relate to protecting creditors, litigation and the practice of law.

To solicit, receive, duly consider, and act upon ideas and opinions of members relating to all issues and actions of significance to its members.

To inform our members and disseminate information to them through a publication and such other means as may be appropriate and to provide an atmosphere of professional cooperation among its members.
